- The provision of legal access services, including legal information, legal news, legal advice and guidance, is provided via a national network of independent and well-established law firms.
- For individuals there is information and guidance on personal injuries, consumer disputes, neighbour disputes, motoring prosecutions, matrimonial problems and anything else except possible areas where conflict of interest issue may arise, such as banking or insurance matters.
- For companies there is information and guidance on business structures, business contracts, interpreting business documents, company law, debt recovery, product warranties and liability, resolving business disputes, liabilities of company directors, trade practises, protecting business assets, intellectual property, leases and more.
- The initial legal advice service is via e-mail. It is anticipated that most legal problems will be resolved this way, and/or by telephone, with the solicitor outlining the appropriate step by step action the client needs to take. If, however, the situation requires further professional assistance, the client will be advised to consult their solicitor at the appropriate time.
- Should the matter be complex and difficult, a feature of the service is that the solicitor who responds to our client's request for advice, can offer at their discretion, a free "face to face" consultation, should they feel that the matter concerned warrants further discussions.
- This e-mail service, and where appropriate the initial face to face interview, is provided totally free of charge to our clients. There is no restriction on how many times our clients use the service, although it is limited to one enquiry per matter. If any legal documents need to be prepared or signed, separate charges may apply at the discretion of the network law firm.
- Network law firm solicitors will make an initial response to an e-mail enquiry within three working days of its receipt by them. If the matter is complex or difficult a further five working days is allowed to respond in detail or to escalate the enquiry to a telephone discussion or a face to face conference.
- The Network law firm solicitor may be able to provide professional assistance and in which case the first face to face interview will be free. For legal work following this normal, discretionary or discounted fees may apply, depending on the law firm.
- Legal Access Services is an independent service provider, not a law firm, nor owned by any of our client companies. The provision of the legal advice and information service and, as appropriate, the online will service are supported by an independent panel of law firms located throughout the country, who do so on behalf of Legal Access Services and its various client companies.
Each of these law firms has committed to and has signed an agreement with Legal Access Services where each client company, whether it be a bank, a telco or an insurance company or any other, is held harmless for any error, mistake or wrong advice given by a supporting law firm.
